[about_artisan]Alessandro Mendini was born in Milan in 1931. He directs Casabella, Modo and Domus. He won a Compasso d'Oro. Among the most significant works are the Groninger Museum in Groningen, the Casino d'Arosa and the Forum in Omegna. He reinvented the image of Alessi for which he was a meta-project consultant. He has been a designer, architect and image consultant for companies such as Philips, Swarovski, Swatch and Bisazza. He died on February 18, 2019.
