It allows players of all skill levels to achieve effortless hyzer-flips and sweeping turnovers all night long. View alternative plastic runs in our Axiom Virus Collection Hub, or stock up on more premium GYRO gear by browsing the main Axiom Discs Collection. At a speed of 9, the rim width remains thin and comfortable in the hand. The 5 glide ensures it stays airborne with minimal power, while the massive -3.5 turn allows the disc to flip up flat or carry down a smooth right-hand drift before dropping with a gentle 1 fade.

Speed

Glide

Turn

Fade

9

5

-3.5

1

The Eclipse Virus delivers:

Industry-Leading Glow: The Eclipse premium plastic rim charges quickly under a UV light and glows brighter and longer than almost any other material on the market.

Effortless S-Curves: Requires very little arm velocity to achieve a full, beautiful distance driver flight path before settling down flat.

Clean Release Comfort: A modest rim depth that provides a highly secure point of control for both power grips and touch shots.

It excels at:

Late-evening or night rounds where tracking down an understable driver in the woods is normally tough.

Smooth hyzer-flips that pop up flat automatically and push straight down narrow fairways.

Long-distance sky rollers that flip over easily and carry maximum distance down the grass.

<>

The Eclipse Glow Plastic Advantage

Axiom’s Eclipse plastic is widely recognized as the gold standard for glow-in-the-dark disc golf. It features a bright, highly luminous flight plate paired with a vibrant, colored GYRO overmold rim. Beyond its unmatched nighttime visibility, Eclipse plastic is incredibly durable and premium. It features a stiff, glassy feel in the hand that handles tree impacts easily without altering the disc's shape. It is worth noting that Eclipse plastic typically molds up just a hair more stable than standard baseline or stock transparent plastics. On an ultra-understable driver like the Virus, this added premium stability creates a perfect sweet spot—giving you an easy-turning driver that resists accidentally burning over into the ground.

<>

How the Eclipse Virus Fits in the Axiom Lineup

Vs the Axiom Neutron Virus: The stock Neutron run is built strictly for daytime use and feels slightly flatter, whereas the Eclipse run adds total night visibility and gives the disc a fraction more torque resistance out of the box.

Vs the Axiom Plasma Virus: The Plasma version focuses on a gummier, metallic flex profile that excels in cold weather, while the Eclipse version is stiffer, more rigid, and optimized for low-light tracking.

Vs the Axiom Insanity: Both share a speed 9 rim width, but the Insanity is a straight-to-stable driver built for straight shots and strong finishes. A quick 5-to-10 second blast from a standard UV flashlight will easily keep the disc illuminated bright enough to track through the night sky and locate in the grass for the duration of a full hole.

Is the Eclipse version more stable than a stock Neutron Virus?

Yes, slightly. The specific minerals used to make plastic glow in the dark typically cause the material to cool a bit denser and stiffer out of the mold. Brand new Eclipse runs will fight off high-speed flutter a fraction better than standard daytime runs, though it remains a highly understable, easy-turning driver.

Can players with fast arm speeds use this disc safely?

Absolutely, but they will want to utilize it as a utility tool. If thrown flat at full power, the extreme understability will cause it to turn over completely. Advanced players will find it incredible for long, panning sky rollers or steep hyzer flips in tight, heavily wooded fairways.

<>

Looking for a different variation?
